Microsoft Excel 2007 Too Many Cell Formats Error

The Microsoft Excel 2007 error “Too Many Cell Formats” can be caused by a Excel bug that allows a worksheet to carry old hidden unused formats and count them towards the 4,000 cell format limit.  If you suspect that you don’t have 4,000 cell formats and have tried all the other proposed solution, we have successfully used the following solution from “XLGeek Coder” called XLCleaner.
